Watsonia 50s Plus Club Inc BBQ
Approximately 80 members had a delightful time at our Christmas BBQ event on Thursday 14th December 2023. Originally planned for the park, we had to move indoors due to the unfavorable weather conditions. Inside the hall, round tables were arranged for everyone's comfort. While John and David expertly grilled the sausages, our remarkable team of women took care of crafting a scrumptious salad for lunch, followed by a delightful serving of ice cream and a homemade fruit salad.
This gathering marked a delightful way to conclude the year for our club.
The club will be re-opening early next year on Wednesday 24th January 2024 for Scrabble from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm, on Thursday 25th January Cards will commence at noon, followed by Bowls and Table Tennis at 1.00 pm. The exercise activities start on Thursday 1st February 2024 at 9.00 am for Tai Chi, 10.00 a.m. for Aerobics, and 10.45 am for Gentle Aerobics. The Monday activities commence on 5th February 2024, Tai Chi at 9.00 and Tai Chi Qigong at 10.00 am.

The Watsonia 50s Plus Club Inc re-opened on 2/1/2021, for 4 days per week from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm for afternoon carpet bowls, scrabble & cards, following Government COVID -19 guidelines
Starting Monday 1st February 2021, Tai Chi 9 am to 9.45 am, Tai chi Qigong 10 am to 10.45 am, with afternoon carpet bowls and cards 500 & Canasta.
Wednesday afternoons Scrabble 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm.
Thursday mornings Tai chi 9.00 am to 9.45 am, Aerobics 10.00 am to 10.45 am, Gentle aerobics 10.45 am to 11.30 am. Bowls, table tennis & Cards 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm.
Saturday afternoons 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm bowls & Cards 500 & Canasta.

Zumba Gold classes on Monday mornings have been cancelled until further notice as Deb has injured her back and must rest up.
Thursday Aerobics classes will continue, as Betty will now be running these classes until Deb returns.

Monday 14 October: FREE Mindfullness Class 11am - 11.45am.
Mindfullness classes incorporate somatic exercises, Tai Chi, Yoga, Qigong and breath work. Shown to prevent falls and improve sleep. Morning tea supplied after the class.
Thursday 17 October: FREE Cards 500. 12.30pm - 3.30pm. Why not join our card group on Thursday, afternoon tea at 2 pm.
Thursday 17 October: FREE Aerobics 10 am - 10.50 am. Aerobic exercise for older adults. Come and try Deb's fun filled class. Morning tea supplied.
Thursday 17 October: FREE Carpet Bowls 12.30pm - 3.30pm. A great game for gentle exercise for the body and stimulation of the brain. All abilities welcome. Afternoon tea at 2 pm.
Sunday afternoon 20 October: Old Time and New Vogue Dance. 1 pm - 4.30 pm. Cost $5.00 Enjoy an afternoon of social dancing or come and listen to the music. There will be door prizes, spot prizes, raffles and afternoon tea
Monday 21 October: FREE Zumba Gold 10am - 10.50am. High energy, low impact, to suit the needs of the active older participant, or those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Friday Evening 25 October: Dinner Dance for Seniors 6.45pm for dinner, 8pm - 11pm for dancing, $25.00 for meal and dance. Cut off date for booking the dinner is 23 October.
