Enjoy a 3 Day Silo Art Trail Bus trip with the Watsonia 50s Plus Club Inc,
Celebrates the rich heritage of Victoria’s Wimmera/Mallee region with a journey along the Silo Art Trail, the country’s biggest outdoor gallery. Cruise from town to town and witness this innovative art project that sees renowned street artists from Australia and across the globe transform wheat silos into giant works of art. The trail brings together internationally recognised street artists –Rone (Yyrone Wright), Guido van Helten, Fintan Magee, Matt Adna te, Julia Volchkova, Kaff-eine, –and takes in a number of Victoria’s smallest towns. You can find these momentous murals in Sheep Hills, Brim, Patchewollock, Lascelles, and Rupanyup. A unique art project that is still evolving, the Silo Art Trail has already revitalised the towns and brought thousands of new visitors to the region.
The coach will depart from near the Watsonia RSL, Morwell Avenue, Watsonia at 7.30 am on Tuesday 4 October 2022.
Day 1 Melbourne to Swan Hill, with a tour of local sites and check into the Jane Eliza Motor Inn
Day 2 Silo Art Trail – Swan Hill to Horsham. There are stops along the art trail and a two-course meal at the Creekside Hotel Warracknabeal then continuing the art trail to Horsham and staying at the Best Westlander Motor Inn.
Day 3 – Horsham to Melbourne stopping for a late lunch at the Ararat RSL
We will be returning from the trip at about 6.00 pm on Thursday 6th, 2022.
