Bus Trip to Malmsbury

Join us for a bus trip to Malmsbury on Tuesday 22nd May 2018 and visit the Botanical Gardens and the Railway Viaduct is a large brick & stone masonry arch bridge over the Coliban River.

Malmsbury bluestone gutters, corrugated sidings and long veranda overhangs are all evidence of a town that was another key stop - off point during the 1850's gold rush.

The Malmsbury Botanical Gardens offers stunning views of the historic viaduct that is a focal point of the town.

Depart:8:30 am Cnr Elder St & Delta Road, Greensborough, stopping for morning tea en-route.

Christmas BBQ 14 December 2017

Come along and enjoy our Christmas BBQ for members and friends on Thursday 14th December at 12 noon in the park beside the hall, the Christmas raffle will be drawn during the afternoon. (Booking is preferred for catering purposes)

After the BBQ the club will close for the year.

The club will re-open next year on Thursday 1st February 2018.

Bendigo by Train

Tuesday 21 November 2017

Departing by train from Watsonia Station 8:25 am, to Southern Cross Station.  We then catch the 9:14 am Train to Bendigo, using free local bus travel to and from the Bendigo Station.  Buy your own lunch, try a sightseeing tour on the talking tram(own cost).  Leave Bendigo Station at 2:56 pm arriving at Southern Cross Station by 5:05 pm, catching the Metro back to your station.

COST: Using your Myki card and your Pensioner Free Travel Voucher.

Tramboat Next Stop Williamstown

Tuesday 19 September 2017

Depart by Train from Watsonia Station at 7.55 am, to Southern Cross Station.  We then catch the No 86 Tram to Central Pier Docklands getting off at stop D2, with a short walk to the Tramboat. Departs Central Pier at 10am, we cruise downstream along the Yarra through the Port of Melbourne, past Swanston Dock under Westgate Bridge, out into Hobson's Bay where we approach the historic Sea Port of Williamstown. Delicous Fish "N" Chips will be delivered to the Tramboat for our return trip.

BUS TRIP TO THE NATIONAL WOOL MUSEUM GEELONG

Tuesday 15 August 2017                National Wool Museum Geelong

Depart: Corner Elder St & Delta Road Greensborough, stopping for morning tea at the Botanical Gardens Geelong.  The Wool Museum is designed as a 90 minute self guided tour, with plenty of volunteers to help along the way. Why not browse through the Museum shops, which provide a range of Australian-made wool and woollen gifts.

Lunch: Own expense,  Dennys Kitchen at the National Wool Museum building or The Inn Geelong-great pub meals, right behind the Museum.
